Takeover Wednesdays welcomes back DJ Yuka Yu to Bochica @ Cigar Bar on April 15th for another globally inspired night of rhythm and movement.

Returning by popular demand, Yuka Yu continues to bring her uniquely multicultural sound to the courtyard. A sound and film artist hailing from Taipei, Taiwan, Yuka’s dynamic sets span continents and cultures—blending underground and mainstream, electronic and organic. With roots in Chinese, Japanese, and Dutch heritage and a DJ career launched in London, she crafts performances that connect genres and audiences in unexpected ways.

Her storytelling behind the decks is immersive, weaving eclectic beats with live instrumentation—from Chinese flute to guzheng, violin, and more. Known for her Chinatown After Dark parties in the Bay Area and appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Ministry of Sound (London), Noise Pop, and art spaces worldwide, Yuka brings a refined, global sensibility to every set.
