Takeover Wednesdays brings global energy to Bochica @ Cigar Bar on March 4th with a uniquely multicultural musical journey.

This week, we welcome DJ Yuka Yu, a sound and film artist hailing from Taipei, Taiwan. Yuka’s dynamic sets span continents and cultures — blending underground and mainstream, electronic and organic. With roots in Chinese, Japanese, and Dutch heritage and a DJ career launched in London, Yuka crafts performances that connect genres and people in unexpected ways.

Her storytelling behind the decks is unmatched, weaving eclectic beats with live instrumentation: Chinese flute, guzheng, violin, and more. Known for her legendary Chinatown After Dark parties in the Bay Area and appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Ministry of Sound (London), Noise Pop, and art museums around the world, Yuka brings seasoned style to every set.
