Tango Argentino: Lessons & Social Dancing - Sunday, June 14, 2026

As night falls on North Beach, tango slips into the shadows of Cigar Bar—wood, low light, velvet sound, and a pulse that belongs to another time.   We’re excited to announce a special MITCNC Tango Series hosted by veteran dance instructors.Agenda each night:

6:00–7:00 PM — Milonga & Vals Foundations I
Six-week series with Julian Ramil 7:00–8:00 PM — Tango Foundations I
Six-week series with Karn Verma 8:00–11:00 PM — Milonga  (Social Tango w/ Live music on select nights)

Class PrerequisitesMilonga & Vals Foundations I:  No prior dance experience requiredBuild a strong tango foundation with special emphasis on Milonga and Vals. We’ll focus on how to step, transfer weight, and move with clarity and connection. 

From there, we’ll explore musical dynamics through walking and turning sequence then learn when to dance to the rhythm and when to stretch into melody.
